Knit a soft women's pullover with a deep circular yoke in half fisherman's rib, a wide crew neckline and gently tapered sleeves. A fine mohair halo softens the textured yoke, while the relaxed stockinette body ends in a shallow ribbed hem.

The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, starting with the neckband. German short rows raise the back neck, and increases are worked into the rib columns to shape the circular yoke. After dividing at the underarms, the body and sleeves are worked separately in the round.

• Skill level: Intermediate; includes knitting in the round, knit-one-below stitches, increases within the rib pattern and German short rows
• Sizes: Seven sizes, XS to 3XL, with approximately 15–19 cm / 6–7½ in of positive ease; choose by your bust measurement and desired fit
• Yarn: One strand of sport-weight wool held together with one strand of lace-weight kid mohair and silk; approximately 900–1600 m / 985–1750 yd of each yarn, depending on size
• Needles: 4.5 mm / US 7 circular needles for the neckband, yoke, body and sleeves; 4 mm / US 6 for the cuffs and optional closer neckline, or sizes needed to obtain gauge
• Blocked gauge: 18 stitches and 25 rounds = 10 cm / 4 in in stockinette; 18 stitches and 34 rounds = 10 cm / 4 in in half fisherman's rib, relaxed
• Notions: Stitch markers, two stitch holders or waste yarn, a tapestry needle and a tape measure
• Construction: Seamless top-down circular yoke, straight body and tapered sleeves worked in the round
