Knit an airy, oversized mohair sweater with a wide boat neckline, deep dropped shoulders and soft, generous sleeves. The loose stockinette fabric and softly curled edges give this pullover an easy, relaxed finish for layering over everyday outfits.

What you will knit

An adult pullover worked with two strands of brushed mohair and silk yarn held together. The front and back are knitted separately, flat from the bottom up. The shoulders are joined with a three-needle bind-off, the neckline is finished with picked-up stitches, and the sleeves are knitted flat before seaming.

Sizes and fit

Seven sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL.
To fit bust: 76–140 cm / 29.9–55.1 in.
Finished bust: 113.3–173.3 cm / 44.6–68.2 in.

This is a very oversized design with 29–43 cm / 11.4–17 in of positive ease. Choose your size using the finished measurements and the amount of ease you prefer.

Skill level

Intermediate. Techniques include flat stockinette, increases and decreases, holding stitches, a three-needle bind-off, picking up neckline stitches and seaming.

Yarn, needles and gauge

• Yarn: two strands of laceweight brushed mohair/silk held together, with approximately 210 m / 230 yd per 25 g for each strand.
• Total yarn to purchase for both strands combined: 1,300–1,900 m / 1,422–2,078 yd, depending on size. Follow the size-specific quantities in the PDF.
• Needles: 8 mm / US 11, or the size needed to obtain the blocked gauge.
• Gauge: 12 stitches and 18 rows per 10 cm / 4 in in stockinette with both strands held together.
